Certification

CaixaBank has a strict Business Continuity Objectives and Policy, approved by the Management, which includes a Business Continuity Plan (BCP). This Continuity Plan embraces processes, personnel, systems, installations and providers.

Similarly, CaixaBank has developed a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), based on the international standard, and has been awarded ISO 22301:2012 certification of its BCMS.



Due to all of the above, CaixaBank guarantees:

  • Compliance with the recommendations of the regulators, the National Bank of Spain, MIFID, Basel II, etc.; and
  • Maximum security in your operations, both in the day-to-day operation and in extraordinary situations.

Also showing to its customers, investors and other stakeholders:

  • Its commitment to Business Continuity; and
  • The implementation and operability of a BCMS according to the most widely-renowned international standard; and
  • The fulfillment of best practices with regard to Business Continuity Management; and
  • The existence of a cyclical process based on continuous improvement.

The certification includes the key areas of Central Services. Among these areas we highlight the IT Services because, in order to include the area in the certification, CaixaBank has had to demonstrate that the bank has a fully operative Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) or Technology Contingency Plan to the certifying entity.
