Launch of the ”la Caixa” mobile banking website.

2010 - Mobile phone payments

Application of contactless technology to mobile phones.

2012 - First contactless ATM in the world

Barcelona was the first European city to welcome contactless payments in shops and ATMs.

2014 - Wearable Banking and contactless bracelets

Top bank in developing wearable financial applications.

2016 - ImaginBank

First mobile-only bank to be set up in Spain and the first in the world where all transactions are performed using apps for mobile phones or social media.

INTERACT WITH THE ATM

CaixaBank has created the first ATM model in the world designed by and for ATM users. The terminals have pioneering innovations, such as a double-screen design, contactless technology to operate without having to physically insert the card or the latest banknote recognition unit.
