The property, owned by CaixaBank, has 8,105 square metres
Servihabitat Gestión Inmobiliaria has sold the CaixaBank building located at number 60 on Madrid's Calle Serrano to the British firm Meyer Bergman, which specialises in managing real estate investments. The sale, made at an undisclosed price, was overseen by the "la Caixa" Group's real estate services firm, Servihabitat Gestión Inmobiliaria.
The building, located in Madrid's "golden mile" in the Salamanca district, has a total floor area of 8,105 metres, distributed over the ground floor, the mezzanine level and six additional floors, as well as four underground levels with 70 parking spaces. One of the most attractive aspects of the building is the 2,500 square metre commercial premises located on the ground floor. In this prime shopping area just 4% of commercial premises have surface areas in excess of 1,000 square metres.
Meyer Bergman intends to reconfigure and renovate the ground floor for commercial use, bearing in mind that there are few such premises available in this prime area of Madrid, where many of the top fashion and luxury brands are located.
The sale is an indication of the growing interest among international investors in the Spanish real estate market, particularly for high quality assets.
