CaixaBank Tech will hire 500 developers in the first quarter of 2025, surpassing 1,600 employees

CaixaBank Tech, the technological subsidiary of the CaixaBank Group, will expand its professional team by incorporating 500 developers during the first quarter of 2025, surpassing 1,600 employees.

This growth includes a significant increase in Seville, where it will enhance its technology hub focused on software development in February, aiming to grow the team from 40 to 200 people. To the company, Seville shows great potential, and the opening of the new center will facilitate the attraction of technological talent interested in growing professionally within the CaixaBank Group.

CaixaBank Tech, which also has physical locations in Barcelona and Madrid, has strengthened its team over the past two years and currently has more than 1,100 professionals specializing in technology applied to financial services.

Developer and programmer profiles

CaixaBank Tech seeks to incorporate engineers from various specialties, especially software developers. The goal is to reach a total of 2,000 employees within the next three years. The offices in Barcelona, Madrid, and the new center in Seville will become talent-attracting technological hubs.

The capabilities sought by the CaixaBank Group's technology subsidiary in new hires include software development in backend and frontend specialties, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineers, Cloud experts, and data security, among others. Currently, 30% of CaixaBank Tech employees are women, and the entity is committed to continuing to promote diversity and inclusion in the technology sector. An example of this is the WONNOW Awards, promoted in partnership with Microsoft, to recognize the best female STEM students in Spain. In fact, CaixaBank Tech currently has 11 winners working in its teams and has participated in all programs, incorporating more than six women from this program. Additionally, the company collaborates with programmes to promote STEM careers from secondary school and other university initiatives to enhance female talent.

The selection process is already underway, with the goal of starting new hires in January.
