All imagin cards can be used abroad with no fees
CaixaBank strengthens its travel card proposition with a commercial campaign offering existing and new customers fee-free international use. Digital bank imagin standardizes the conditions of all its cards (debit, credit, MyCard and prepaid) so that no fees are charged during trips abroad. In addition, the group will waive fees on the MoneyToTravel prepaid card until August 31.
Through all imagin cards, customers, with no age limit, will not have to pay fees for foreign exchange or cash withdrawals abroad, regardless of the amount spent or withdrawn from ATMs or the day of the week they are used. This proposition positions imagin as one of the most competitive travel options on the market, aligned with its fee-free everyday model for accounts and cards, offering a simple and transparent offer for users.
For CaixaBank customers who prefer prepaid solutions there is the MoneyToTravel card, which allows payments abroad without foreign exchange fees and two free cash withdrawals per month. In addition, the card includes a 1GB e-SIM, travel assistance insurance and access to selected VIP lounges in the event of flight delays, as well as an anti-fraud management service. CaixaBank issues these cards through MoneyToPay, a company of the bank and Global Payments, that develops prepaid solutions for individuals and companies.
CaixaBank's MoneyToTravel card is available fee-free to all subscribers — customers and non-customers — until 31 August.
The card, available in both physical and digital formats, can be opened either at branches or digitally via the CaixaBank app or website.
The launches demonstrate the group’s comprehensive and differentiated offering with a wide range of options, through imagin, CaixaBank’s digital bank leading among young people, and through the prepaid MoneyToTravel solution, which allows spending only the amount loaded. Exclusive advantages with MoneyToTravel
The prepaid alternative is especially useful for travelers seeking value-added solutions during their stays abroad, without having to compare different plans, simplifying their choice. With MoneyToTravel, users gain greater control over spending and additional protection against fraud, as well as exclusive travel benefits such as the elimination of fees on payments in foreign currencies.
Customers can also make in-store and online purchases in other currencies using the Mastercard exchange rate and without additional fees every day of the week. The card also offers two free withdrawals per month at ATMs outside Spain.
In addition to financial benefits, MoneyToTravel includes a 1GB eSIM for use over seven days, as well as a 10% discount on additional top-ups thanks to a partnership with Roamic.
