CaixaBank equity research team releases report providing ESG risk rating for 73 Iberian companies

In line with its commitment to support a sustainable and efficient capital allocation in capital markets, last year the CaixaBank equity research team launched a project to integrate ESG analysis into the research process. The goal is to play an active part in steering companies into a sustainable future aligned with the global agenda for humanity. As a result of this effort, the Caixabank equity research team has now become one of the first in Europe to publish a report with an individual ESG analysis per company and that covers 73 Iberian corporations. 

Going forward, this assessment will be extended to the entire coverage of Iberia and abroad in key sectors such as Utilities, Telcos, Apparel and Infrastructure. The ESG analysis will be fully integrated into the companies’ valuations and investment recommendations.

The team covers 85 companies listed in Spain and Portugal, which makes it one of the most extensive coverages of Iberian stocks, and 17 companies from the rest of Europe. The integration of ESG analysis will reinforce the team's degree of sector and company knowledge and, therefore, its ability to provide a higher added-value service to its customers.
