CaixaBank and Fundación Relife present in Toledo the second season of the ‘Circuit Relife’, an educational program aimed at raising awareness among adolescents aged 14 to 19 about the risks of addictions, both substance-related (alcohol, tobacco, and drugs) and to screens and new technologies (betting, video games, social networks, or excessive use of devices).
After the first edition, this academic year the ‘Relife Circuit’ expands its reach and will reach 3,000 students in ten Spanish cities. Eight of them are new stops: Toledo, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife, Valencia, Murcia, Palencia, Almería, and Pamplona. Madrid and Barcelona are included again after the positive reception in the previous edition.
At each event, former footballer and Relife founder Julio Alberto Moreno shares his personal experience with addictions and explains how he overcame them. His testimony serves as a starting point to open a space for reflection where students learn first-hand, with mental health specialists, about the risks of addictions and participate in interactive workshops.
Additionally, this inaugural session features the presence of Josep Parareda, Director of Social Action at CaixaBank, the financial institution driving this initiative.
The program is completed with the intervention of prevention professionals, as well as practical activities that help adolescents identify risks, manage their digital identity, and discover healthy alternatives through volunteering.

According to Julio Alberto Moreno, “more and more young people are facing situations that can lead to addiction. With these workshops, we want to give adolescents the necessary tools to make good decisions in life and, in case they fall into an addiction, show them that there is always a way out, that asking for help is necessary, and that prevention begins with information and awareness”.
For his part, Josep Parareda highlighted “the importance of the ‘Relife Circuit’ continuing its successful outreach and prevention work with the aim of contributing solutions to such an important social challenge for young people as awareness and training to prevent the risks posed by traditional addictions (drugs and alcohol) and new digital addictions (screens and gambling)”. “Through CaixaBank Volunteering, we have a very good tool for addiction prevention, because we believe that educating our young people with real experiences can be decisive when it comes to making vital decisions and practicing healthy habits”, Parareda added.
The ‘Relife Circuit’ also collaborates with Fundación “la Caixa”, FC Barcelona Foundation, Immunokids, Diario Sport, You Forget Me, Volkswagen Group, and Viceroy.
