Antonio Pulido Gutiérrez was born in Castro del Río (Córdoba) in 1965. He graduated in Business and Economics and completed a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Seville. Lecturer at the University of Seville and the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville.
His professional experience began in Seville in 1988 when he held various important positions in government and in the management of public enterprises.
He is president of the Andalusian Board of Charters of Economists, President of the Andalusian Foundations Association and President of the International Association of Chattel and Social Mortgages. He has been President of the Organisation of Economists in Education (OEE).
Among others, he is also a member of the Boards of Directors of CECA, CASER, ISOLUX, Banco Europeo de Finanzas (BEF), AHORRO CORPORACIÓN and TUBACEX, and he sits on the Territorial Advisory Board of Endesa in Andalusia. He is also President of the Cajasol Business Corporation and business school.
In 2006, he was elected President of Caja de Ahorros “El Monte” and he has been President of Cajasol and Fundación Cajasol since 2007 following the former's merger with Caja San Fernando. He has been Co-President of Banca Cívica and Chairman of its Board of Directors since 2011.
He has co-written a dozen books and projects on economics. Special mention must be made of his research work, studies and analyses of the economy and business from various viewpoints: social, microeconomics, macroeconomics and business organisation and management. He has also taken part in various national and international seminars and conferences.
