CaixaBank Volunteering has further consolidated its position as one of the largest corporate volunteering initiatives in Spain and now mobilises nearly half of the bank's workforce. More than 19,000 employees of CaixaBank participated in voluntary work activities in 2025, which represents 45% of the employees of the financial institution.
Thanks to the collaboration with about 2,500 social entities and the involvement of 23,860 volunteers, including other Group workers, ex-employees, family members or customers, the CaixaBank Volunteering programme helped improve the lives of more than 755,000 people in a situation of vulnerability across Spain in the past financial year. It did so through 32,000 activities focused on education, digitisation, accompaniment of vulnerable groups and protection of the environment, among others.
These results also show significant progress compared to 2024, when the programme mobilised more than 20,200 volunteers. Hence, in 2025, CaixaBank Volunteering increased by nearly 19% the number of volunteers in twelve months.
The workforce's high rate of participation places the CaixaBank programme well above of the average of the corporate volunteering. According to the Voluntare 2025 Report , which saw the participation of 236 organisations in Europe and Latin America, 77% of companies mobilise more than 10% of their workforce in volunteering initiatives and only 45% manage to surpass 20%, which shows the high degree of social commitment CaixaBank's staff.
In addition, coinciding with the International Year of Volunteers, in May CaixaBank Volunteering will hold, for the fourth consecutive year, the ‘Social Month’, an initiative aimed at bringing the public into closer contact with the practice and benefits of solidarity action. During that month in 2025, more than 18,000 people participated in the activities organised by the financial institution.
