At CaixaBank we believe in the power of positive change and in our responsibility to build a fairer, more inclusive and committed society.
We are attentive to the needs of the people around us and seek solutions to respond to their realities, in every community.
To achieve this, we work together with our shareholders, clients and staff, hand in hand with our majority shareholder, ”la Caixa” Foundation.

Committed to our immediate environment
We seek solutions that go beyond our banking activities, appropriate to the realities of our surroundings. This is our social commitment: to act where we're needed most. We run projects that add value at grassroots level, with people as a priority.
Close to older people
Attention to older people is a maxim of CaixaBank. The Full of Life programme promotes their physical, social and mental well-being by running workshops and group activities.
We turn our attention to young people
In collaboration with the Lo Que De Verdad Importa Foundation, we support value conferences for young people with testimonies of success and entrepreneurship. And together with the Relife Foundation, we hold conferences to prevent and raise awareness of the entrance into the world of addictions, with the aim of fostering a more conscious and supportive youth.
Our commitment to childhood
Every year, with our Dream Tree programme, we turn our attention to children living in vulnerable circumstances, to make sure the magic of Christmas makes their dreams come true, thanks to numerous organisations and to our network of branches and clients.
Support for rural entrepreneurs
We take up the challenge of combating rural depopulation through our Land of Opportunities programme, helping people to set up businesses in the countryside and encouraging job creation and the provision of services and wealth in small communities.
Backing the circular economy
Through the ReUseMe programme, the bank's corporate clients can give a second life to their surplus materials in good condition by donating them to community bodies to which they can be very useful.
Committed to the most vulnerable
We strive every day to offer social banking solutions to people in vulnerable groups, to foster their financial inclusion and access for all.
Solutions to achieve inclusive banking
Thanks to the Social Accounts, many people can have their social benefits paid into their account and have free access to basic financial services, regardless of their income or origin.
We adapt our products and services hand in hand with the organisations with which we work closely to achieve full inclusion.
Backing grassroots organisations
Their role in our society is of key importance. We therefore support non-profit grassroots bodies with simple, reduced-cost banking services tailored to the needs of the Third Sector, to become its leading bank.
We also place at their disposal a free fund-raising platform which can channel funds and respond quickly to emergency situations.
At the service of the most vulnerable people
An inclusive bank must make sure it provides autonomous, secure services. This is why we establish specialised service protocols to avoid financial exploitation of vulnerable people and victims of gender violence and provide a legal capacity support service for people with intellectual disability or mental illness.
CaixaBank Volunteers
Encouraging solidarity among its employees and society in general has been one of the CaixaBank group's key goals right from the start. Set up in 2005, the CaixaBank Volunteers' Association is a landmark in fostering volunteer work. The Goal of CaixaBank Volunteers is to contribute together to a fairer, more caring world, by supporting people in vulnerable groups to improve their well-being, and by looking after the planet and its biodiversity.

Both employees and ex-employees, as well as clients, family and friends play an active part in our social commitment by joining in as volunteers.
We encourage Corporate Volunteers
We encourage solidarity among our workforce through schemes like the Social Month and Social Team Building activities, in which thousands of CaixaBank group employees pursue their charity interests.
We back our employees' charity work
Through our Everybody's Project programme, we give donations to support the work of grassroots bodies in which our employees are involved through volunteer activities.
