Gonzalo Gortázar, CEO of CaixaBank, and Javier Pano, CFO of the bank, have been named by sell-side financial analysts as the best executives in their category in the 2021 All-Europe Executive Team, drawn up by Institutional Investor. The analysts who took part in this year's survey elected Gonzalo Gortázar for his credibility, leadership and communication; and Javier Pano for his financial management and communication.
In the 2021 edition of the ranking, CaixaBank is consolidated as a benchmark bank for financial analysts, topping the ranking not only in the categories of “Best CEO” and “Best CFO,” but also in the categories of “Best Investor Relations Team,” “Best Investor Relations Program,” and “Best Analyst Day”.
Institutional Investor's All-Europe Executive Team is the industry's benchmark ranking in Europe and is drawn up every year with the results of a comprehensive survey of financial analysts and institutional investors. The participants vote for the best executives and best investor relations professionals from over 1,000 companies. Around 1,600 buy-side investors and sell-side analysts from more than 600 investment firms took part in the 2021 edition.
In the combined ranking, which takes into consideration the votes of buy-side institutional investors together with those of sell-side financial analysts, Gonzalo Gortázar and Javier Pano reclaim second position in 2021 for “Best CEO” and “Best CFO”, respectively, among all European banks for the second consecutive year. Furthermore, CaixaBank's Investor Relations team has progressed to the ranking's Top 3.

The inclusion of a company in the Institutional Investor Research rankings marks a major acknowledgement of its leadership and management in the economic and financial world.
